“Everyone, get off. I’ve won the EuroMillions lottery”. That was the English bus driver’s words to the passengers after he found out that he and his colleagues had won over 40 million euros.
The driver, from the city of Corby in England, was notified of the win in the middle of his shift. He and eleven other drivers from the same bus company had ticked the right line in the EuroMillions lottery and scooped up a whopping £38 million. What did he do? He asked the passengers to get off the bus and then stopped his shift.
The twelve bus drivers receive approximately 3.3 million euros each from the big win, and now the company’s managers are worried that they may soon be without staff.
We will not come in tomorrow
was the message from one of the drivers who after the win organized a big party for his colleagues, writes the Daily Mail.
One of their colleagues who did not participate in the lottery confirmed the information.
– You will not find them at work today, that’s for certain. It will be interesting to see if any of them come back, says the colleague to The Sun.
The lottery win has involved the whole city, and the comments flowed on Twitter.
